What Is PPL Blastoff? Addressing The 800lb Gorilla In The Room

Blastoff Shopping & SavingPPLBlastoff is a collaboration between Prepaid Legal and Blastoff Communications LLC, launched in October 2009, featuring a very unique social shopping marketing platform. Members and Pre-paid Legal associates are given cash rewards for shopping on the affiliated retailers' websites. They also earn cash from referrals when they shop, down several levels.

There's a lot of buzz being created on the internet about this new marketing platform.

"Make money while you shop!", "Better that Facebook or Twitter!", "The site of the future", etc, etc. I'm sure you've seen some of these. For the most part, we'll say right up front, this is just projective hype. Now. before the "blastoff police" jump on that last statement, we'll say this, Blast Off may eventually become better than some social media sites, however, we seriously doubt that it will outpace Facebook or Twitter, therefore, that statement is incorrect.

Let's turn to the "making money while you shop" claim. There's nothing unique about that. Countless numbers of portal and other ecommerce sites have accomplished that end, you were just called affiliates there. What about "site of the future?" Again, without proven empirical data, we are simply speculating. There is no doubt that the potential to become a dominant website does exist, Blast-off is just not there yet.

Network Marketing Meet Social Shopping

First of all, what is social shopping?

Simply put, social shopping is an ecommerce environment where consumers shop and otherwise interact with each other in social media networks. Because of these interactions, peer-to-peer recommendations play a crucial part in the buying decisions playing out across the network.

Blast Off Network has partnered with a network marketing stalwart, Prepaid Legal to produce a portal from which anyone can shop, refer friends, setup their own custom replica site, earn rebate checks, join Prepaid Legal Services as an associate or become a member and much more. They have created, essentially, a Social Shopping environment. Visit this Replicated Website here to see an example of the end result.

There is no need to be a member of Pre Paid Legal in order to shop through Blastoff, however, if you do enroll, you are placed in a multi-tiered structure below the associate who referred you to their site. If the referrer is not a member of PPL, you are placed in the next PPL associate's group above the referrer. This has been a brief description of the structure. Many more details can be found here at the official PPLBlastoff website.

Let's Talk Scams, Ponzi and Pyramid Schemes

Every person on the planet believe they know what constitutes a pyramid scheme or a networking scam. Larry King of CNN fame, recently disclosed to a very successful networker that he was a victim of Bernie Madoff to the tune of millions. We have all seen the names of the rich and famous who were duped by this slickster and his ponzi scheme, what happened? They knew all about pyramid schemes before they signed on the dotted line, didn't they? Apparently not. The question is, what makes us so different from these highly successful individuals?

As you can guess, the fact that Blast Off is involved in the marketing of goods and services on several levels, it qualifies to be termed a "network marketing" company. We hope that the fact you are still reading this signifies you are somewhat interested in MLM. If not, we still appreciate the fact that you took the time to visit our site.

Just so that there's no mistake, we are proud network marketers and have been so for 14 years. Over that time, we've seen it all. Scams, schemes, and everything in between. we don't judge any enterprise without extensive research but we're convinced that companies like Prepaid Legal, Amway and Nikken are nothing like the "Pyramid Scheme Of The Century" that Bernie Madoff just pulled off. As a matter of fact, while we worked for corporate America, we would always wonder why we were scheduled to work on weekends and holidays for a pittance of a paycheck, while the VP's etc were at home or on their yatchs, enjoying the day off and collecting their huge performance bonuses. What performance?

If Corporate America is not structured exactly like a pyramid, then the definition is way off.

A Giant Network Marketing Vote Of Confidence: Walmart Pitches In

Having said all of that, we now say this, if you are not interested in multi-level marketing, (as the 366 companies that comprise the Blastoff Network are), no problem.

Kmart, BestBuy, Dell, Verizon and a whole slew of others embracing this concept doesn't necessarily prove anything. We'll hazard a guess however, that all of their legal departments probably were involved in the decision making process, and came to the conclusion that Blast-off was not an illegal ponzi or pyramid scheme before giving their go ahead. You make your own decision about that, we'll just trust that the legal firepower of these well established retailers aren't wrong. Who do you trust?

Here, in a nutshell is what we've always said to new associates or potential new partners, Network Marketing is just another means of achieving financial freedom. Just like selling software business to business, bricklaying, or being a curbside pharmacist (drug dealer). We can't help you with any of those occupations, but we sure can help you with becoming a decent network marketer. Just ask. Let's talk, contact us here, More Information About Blastoff.
